The City of Dubuque is currently accepting applications from residents to join the Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission.
The seven-member board helps to plan, promote, and encourage support for artistic and cultural development in Dubuque. Residents with a background in the performing and fine arts, culture, or heritage are especially encouraged to apply. Commissioners are expected to regularly attend the commission’s monthly meetings.
Application materials can be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office, 50 W. 13th Street, or by visiting www.cityofdubuque.org/Join.
The Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Commission was created in 2004. It makes recommendations to the City Council regarding the establishment of arts and cultural policies and programs, the expenditure of budgeted City funds, and the implementation of artistic and cultural programs.
