Miracle League of Dubuque to Host All-Inclusive Baseball Tournament with Special Guest Sean “The Mayor” Casey

The Miracle League of Dubuque proudly presents the 2024 Baseball Extravaganza, an all-inclusive tournament bringing together Miracle League teams from Dubuque and Sioux City, Iowa, and South Hills of Pittsburgh, Penn., on Tuesday, July 23. The tournament will begin with games at the Miracle League of Dubuque Complex in Dubuque and continue into the evening with games at the iconic Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville.
The tournament promises an unforgettable experience for the Miracle League athletes, with special guest Major League Baseball (MLB) Network analyst and three-time MLB All-Star Sean “The Mayor” Casey. Casey, a Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer and founder of the Miracle League of the South Hills, will kick off the festivities and attend games at both the Dubuque Miracle League facility and the Field of Dreams.
The opening ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Miracle League Complex located at 2790 Miracle League Dr. with special guests Sean “The Mayor” Casey and Dubuque City Council Member David Resnick. Tournament games will begin with a Miracle Division game at 10 a.m. followed by Advanced Skills Division games at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m.
All tournament events and games are free and open to the public. The Miracle League facility has a limited amount of standard and accessible bleacher seating. Guests are welcome to bring chairs. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Evening festivities will begin at the Field of Dreams Movie Site with an opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. followed by a Miracle Division game at 6 p.m. and Advanced Skills Division games at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
“At the Miracle League, we want to give every player the same opportunities to have an incredible baseball experience... Our families, players, and coaches look forward to creating lifelong memories at one of the most iconic baseball venues in the country,” said Casey. “I can't wait to see our athletes try to hit it in the corn!”
Admission to the Field of Dreams is a $20 suggested donation, though not required. The movie site has limited bleacher seating. Guests are welcome to bring chairs. Food and beverages will be available in The Stretch, the on-site concession stand.
