$50 Minimum Permit Fees Start July 1

Effective July 1, 2024, there will be a minimum permit fee of $50 for all building, mechanical, plumbing and electrical permit applications issued by the City’s Inspection and Construction Services Division.

This fee increase is required to cover the City’s rising costs associated with permit application review and inspection services. The new $50 minimum permit fee applies to all permit applications submitted on or after July 1, 2024.

We understand the impact of any fee increases on your business. However, this adjustment is necessary to maintain adequate staffing levels and service quality as operational costs continue to rise.

Please plan for this new minimum permit fee requirement beginning July 1, 2024. Updated applications will be available July 1 at www.cityofdubuque.org/ics.
