City of Dubuque Developers’ Roundtable Meeting Canceled

April 30, 2024

The City of Dubuque’ Developers’ Roundtable meeting scheduled for this evening (Tuesday, April 30) and facilitated by Greater Dubuque Development Corporation has been canceled.

The event was canceled following feedback from local developers that they already have adequate knowledge about the City’s budget and policy development process and the City’s Design Review Team update and follow-up process, which was to be the main focus of tonight’s meeting.

The April 30 forum was to continue the series of Dubuque Developers’ Roundtable meetings attended by local business leaders and developers, economic development officials, City staff and members of the public in 2023. Following community input gathered in these meetings and throughout the year, the mayor and city council and City staff made several improvements to development policies and practices. In addition, the City’s planning services department continues to meet with architectural, design, and engineering firms to foster continuous improvement.

The city council encourages ongoing conversation about development practices and policies within Dubuque and invites anyone with ideas or concerns to share those at city council meetings during the public input section of the meeting.  The city council meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Historic Federal Building at 350 W. Sixth Street. The city manager and city council members can also be contacted directly at any time by phone, email, or mail.  Contact information for the Dubuque City Council is available at www.cityofdubuque.org/councilcontacts
