Port of Dubuque Marina Boss of the Toss Bags Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 2

The Port of Dubuque Marina will host the Boss of the Toss Bags Tournament at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. The entry fee is $10. The entry fee will be waived for those who pay dockage at the marina.
Teams may register in advance by calling the Port of Dubuque Marina store at 563-582-5524 or in-person at the marina until 12 p.m. the day of the event. It is a single-game elimination tournament following regulation rule and gameplay. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place teams.
During the tournament, the marina store will be open for refreshments including drinks, snacks, ice cream, and a brat or hot dog with a bag of chips for only $5, while supplies last. There will also be free, family-friendly games and activities, music, and a wristband station for adults 21 and older.
“This fun, family-friendly event is a great opportunity for both boaters and non-boaters to enjoy the Mississippi River and Dubuque’s Port of Dubuque,” said the City’s Park and Recreation Business Development Manager Haley Francke. “Music, food, beverages, free games and activities, bags, and a little friendly competition—there’s no better way to spend the holiday weekend!
The Port of Dubuque Marina is a 70-slip transient marina in the Port of Dubuque, located at mile 579.4 of the upper Mississippi River inside the protected Ice Harbor. Daily dockage is $1.75 per ft. and includes slip rental, a 30-amp or 50-amp electrical connection for boats up to 100 ft., pump-out, water, secure docking behind a gate, and access to private restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Reservations are accepted for up to 14 consecutive days. Hourly dockage is free. To dock hourly, please check-in with marina staff to confirm slip availability. Seasonal dockage is also available.
