INCIDENT TYPE: Structure Fire
ADDRESS/LOCATION: 2120 Carter Rd
Tuesday evening at 10:50 PM, The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center was notified of a structure fire at 2120 Carter Rd. Thirty-three seconds later, eight vehicles including three fire engines, two ladder companies, two ambulances, one command totaling 20 personnel from Dubuque Fire Department were dispatched. Station two’s engine and ambulance arrived on scene four minutes and thirty-eight seconds after dispatched. All residents evacuated the building prior to Dubuque Fire’s arrival. Engine 502 and medic 552 established command and began exterior water application. After additional crews arrived, Dubuque Fire Department continued extinguishment inside of the structure. Dubuque Fire Department suppression vehicles cleared the scene at 1:24 AM Wednesday, turning the scene over to the Dubuque Fire Marshal’s Office.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. An additional structure was exposed to fire that also required Dubuque Fire Department to extinguish. The incident remains under investigation.
