Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Dubuque Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 700 block of Rhomberg Avenue this morning. Officers responded to the report of shots being fired at approximately 12:47 a.m. Upon arrival, they located a 31-year-old man that had sustained gunshot wounds. Officers attempted life-saving measures on the victim and he was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The identity of the victim is not being released pending family notifications. There have been no arrests made at this time. Due to the active nature of this investigation, no additional information is currently available.
