Dubuque County COVID-19 Update

69 New Cases in Last 7 Days

Vaccinations Can Reduce Severity of Illness for Children and Missed Work Days for Parents

Unsurprisingly, a recent study found co-infection of flu and COVID is more severe than just flu or COVID alone for children. This finding, combined with the fact that parents missing work due to their children's respiratory illness is at an all time high right now, underscore the importance of vaccinations for children.

By getting children vaccinated against influenza and vaccinated/boosted against COVID-19, you will reduce the chance of them getting seriously ill from influenza and COVID.  Childhood COVID and influenza vaccines are available at the VNA, Medical Associates, Crescent Community Health Center, and Grand River Medical Center.  To find a COVID-19 vaccine near you, visit www.vaccines.gov
