The Center serves as a welcoming and safe place for community members, stimulates connections and conversations, and provides programs to foster civic engagement and social and economic success.

The Director provides strategic leadership; works toward the betterment of the cultural and circumstantial needs of the diverse population of Dubuque; leads intercultural community engagement program development and educational work; collaborates with the Multicultural Family Center’s non-profit board to fulfill its mission and strategic plan supporting programming; operates within a collective impact model to address root causes of inequity within the community; and provides services to traditionally marginalized communities. A Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Youth Services Administration, Multicultural Studies, Education, Sociology, or a related field; and at least 7 years of relevant multicultural work experience including supervision, (or equivalency); possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid state-issued Driver’s License or ability to travel independently throughout the community; and professional experience working with culturally diverse populations are required.
