Ice Center Offers Access for Exercise

DUBUQUE, Iowa – As temperatures drop and conditions become less conducive for outdoor exercise, the Mystique Community Ice Center on Chaplain Schmitt Island is again offering the public the opportunity to exercise in the facility through the center’s fitness program.
Area residents interested in walking, jogging, or running in the ice center are required to complete a waiver and hold harmless agreement and either pay $1 per day or a $75 annual fee. The center is open to fitness program participants for this use year-round from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Fitness program use is also available when the facility is in use Friday through Sunday except during Dubuque Fighting Saints hockey games. The facility schedule is available at mystiqueicecenter.com/schedule/
Completed waivers and payment must be submitted to the Mystique Community Ice Center administrative office at 1800 Admiral Sheehy Drive. Waivers can be downloaded from mystiqueicecenter.com. (CLICK HERE for a direct download.)
