Celebrate Africa & The Diaspora

Available starting Thursday, April 22nd at 5:00 p.m.

Join partners Multicultural Family Center (MFC), University of Dubuque, Clarke University, Divine Word College, Emmaus Bible College, Loras College and Lu Supply Co for this FREE VIRTUAL event.

You won’t want to miss this cultural, fun and educational celebration! Come learn how to make Chapati, check out African fashions, drumming, dancing with Turnt Kidz-TK Dance Organization and more!

What is the African Diaspora? The term is most commonly refers to the descendants of the West and Central Africans who were enslaved and shipped to the Americas via the Atlantic slave trade between the 16th and 19th centuries, with their largest populations in Brazil, the United States and Haiti.

The celebration will be available starting April 22, at 5:00 p.m. on the Multicultural Family Center (MFC) website at:   Celebrate Africa & the Diaspora
