Water Well Maintenance at AY McDonald Park 

DUBUQUE, Iowa –  The City of Dubuque Water Department and a project contractor (Peerless Well and Pump) will conduct a groundwater well rehabilitation project in A.Y. McDonald Park from March 16-19. 

Parking and access along the western portion of the park may be limited to allow the contractor to perform this work.  The contractor will be onsite each day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The project will improve pumping capacity and reduce excessive wear and tear on pumping equipment and includes clearing the well screen of scale or mineral build up and will require flushing the well of sediment.  The entire project and any related discharge is being performed under Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Wastewater General Permit #6 .
