DUBUQUE, Iowa – The recommended Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 budget materials are available online at www.cityofdubuque.org/FY2022budget. Printed copies are also available for checkout from the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Reference Desk.
The series of virtual public meetings being held as part of the budget process begins with a public hearing at the Monday, March 1, City Council meeting to establish the maximum property tax dollars the City will collect in FY2022. Dubuque City Manager Mike Van Milligen will also present the FY2022 Recommended Budget.The process then continues with six public meetings to review City department/division budget details and concludes with a final public hearing on Wednesday, March 24, to adopt the FY2022 Operating and Capital Budgets.- Monday, March 1: Public hearing at the City Council meeting to establish Maximum Property Tax Dollars for Fiscal Year 2022 and presentation of FY2022 Recommended Budget

- Thursday, March 4: Health Services, Human Rights, Library, Airport, Finance
- Monday, March 8: Housing & Community Development, Planning, Economic Development, Transportation Services
- Tuesday, March 9: Purchase of Services, Five Flags Civic Center, Grand River Center, Parks, Recreation, Multicultural Family Center
- Thursday, March 11: Emergency Management, Emergency Communications, Police, Fire
- Monday, March 22: Water, Water & Resource Recovery Center, Public Works, Engineering
- Wednesday, March 24: Public hearing to adopt the Fiscal Year 2022 budget
All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be aired live on CityChannel Dubuque (Mediacom cable channels 8 and 117.2), streamed live, and archived on the city’s website at www.cityofdubuque.org/media, and streamed live on the city’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cityofdubuque.The public is invited to provide input during the virtual public hearings and meetings in which City staff from each department and division present FY2022 budget information to the City Council. Options to provide input during the live meetings include: - Joining the meetings using your computer, smartphone, or tablet using the link https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/337661181 or by calling 1.877.568.4106 (toll free). The access code is 337-661-181. The link, phone number, and access code will be the same for each meeting. Indicate which item you would like to speak to in the chat function or note you'd like to speak when the phone lines are unmuted. All comments must be accompanied by a name and address.
