Dubuque to Observe National COVID-19 Memorial

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Today (Jan. 19), at 4:30 p.m. the City of Dubuque will join cities and towns across the nation in observation of the National COVID-19 Memorial being held today at 5:30 p.m. EST as part of this week's presidential inauguration activities. The bell atop City Hall will ring for two minutes in a memorial to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee is hosting a Washington, D.C. ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool as a national moment of unity and remembrance. It will be the first-ever lighting around the Reflecting Pool to memorialize American lives lost.
