City of Dubuque Seeking Public Input on Community Garden Proposal

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The City of Dubuque is seeking input from residents regarding a proposal for a community garden at Valentine Park, located at 860 Valentine Dr. The request for the community garden was made by a group of residents who live in the neighborhood.

The proposal includes the creation of a community garden approximately 70 ft. x 50 ft. located north of the Valentine Park parking lot. The care and maintenance of the community garden would be the responsibility of the resident group.

Residents and stakeholders who live in the Valentine Park neighborhood and surrounding area are invited to share their input on the community garden proposal online at www.cityofdubuque.org/parks, by calling the Leisure Services Department at 563.589.4263, or during the virtual public meeting on Jan. 20, 2021, at 5 p.m.
