Clogged Pipe Causes Sanitary Sewer Overflow

DUBUQUE, Iowa – A clogged sanitary sewer pipe off McDonald Drive caused untreated wastewater to flow onto the nearby hillside.
The City of Dubuque Public Works Department was notified of a clogged sanitary sewer line around 8 a.m. today. Crews worked to remove the blockage and flow was directed back into the pipe by 9 a.m.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) cautions people to keep their children and pets away from the noted area, which is posted, for 48 hours.
