26 New Cases in Dubuque County, 459 New Cases and Five Deaths in Iowa


Positive Cases
Between 2 p.m. yesterday and 2 p.m. today, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 26 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, increasing the county total to 989.  For the state, 459 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 35,529 positive cases.

Deaths

There were no additional deaths reported in Dubuque County over the last 24 hours so the county total remains 23.  Six additional deaths were reported statewide, increasing the state death total to 754. 

Testing
As of 2 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 15,329 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 127 from yesterday, with an overall positive test rate of 6.5 percent. 377,873 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 2,311 since yesterday, for a positive test rate of 9.4 percent. One in six Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in eight Iowa residents have been tested.

Hospitalizations & Recoveries
According to the IDPH, at 4 p.m. today 186 Iowans are hospitalized due to COVID-19, nine more than reported yesterday.  The number of Dubuque County residents reported hospitalized is up to 10, six more than reported yesterday. 

Statewide, 26,665 Iowans have recovered (435 more than reported yesterday), including 432 Dubuque County residents (three more than yesterday).

Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 14 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, two fewer than reported yesterday.  There are no long-term care facility outbreaks in Dubuque County.
