Gov. Reynolds Signs New Proclamation
Today, Governor Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the Public Health Disaster Emergency. The proclamation, effective at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, continues to ease restrictions on businesses and extends other public measures until Thursday, June 25, 2020. The proclamation includes lifting the 50% capacity restrictions for businesses, although Reynolds is asking certain businesses like restaurants, bars, and movie theaters to ensure customers and employees maintain the recommended six feet of social distancing. The proclamation still encourages all vulnerable Iowans, in all counties, to continue to limit their activities outside of the home. Read the full announcement HERE.

No New Cases in Dubuque County, 327 New Cases and Seven More Deaths in Iowa

Positive Cases
Between 2 p.m. yesterday and 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported no new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, keeping the county total at 372. For the state, 327 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 22,516 positive cases.

Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County so the county total remains at 21. Seven additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 630.

Testing
As of 2 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 6,460 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 133 from yesterday, with a positive test rate of 5.8 percent. 203,227 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 5,116 since yesterday, for a positive test rate of 11.1 percent. One in 15 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 16 Iowa residents.

Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 38 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, one less than yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 50 positive cases (an increase of one since yesterday) and 14 recovered cases (no change from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,458 positive cases at long-term care facilities (103 fewer than reported yesterday), 806 recovered (56 fewer than reported yesterday), and 311 deaths (two more than reported yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.

Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 245 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, 10 fewer than yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 13,628 Iowans have recovered (up 274 from yesterday), including 213 Dubuque County residents (no change from yesterday).
