Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 40 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, two less than yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (no change from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,527 positive cases at long-term care facilities (74 fewer than reported yesterday), 755 recovered (43 fewer than reported yesterday), and 290 deaths (four more than reported yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 310 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of four from yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 12,284 Iowans have recovered (up 178 from yesterday), including 195 Dubuque County residents (no change from yesterday).
