No New Cases in Dubuque County, 308 New Cases and 3 More Deaths in Iowa
Positive Cases
From 2 p.m. yesterday to 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported no additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, in fact the county total was reduced from 345 to 344, most likely due to a correction. For the state, 308 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 19,551 positive cases.
Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County since 2 p.m. yesterday, keeping the county total at 18. Three additional deaths were reported statewide putting the state death total at 534.
TestingAs of this 2 p.m. today, 5,473 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 57 from yesterday. 156,713 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 5,873 since yesterday. Iowa has a positive test rate of 12.5 percent while Dubuque County's is 6.3 percent. One in 18 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 20 Iowans have been tested.
Long-Term Care Facility OutbreaksAs of 2 p.m.. today, there are 39 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, the same as yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (two more recoveries than yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,562 positive cases at long-term care facilities (up four from yesterday), 712 recovered (up eight from yesterday), and 250 deaths (two more than yesterday)
. The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & RecoveriesAs of today, 341 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of 27 from yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 11,111 Iowans have recovered (up 139 from yesterday), including 174 Dubuque County residents (up nine from yesterday).
