304 New Cases and 4 Deaths in Iowa, 12 More Cases in Dubuque County 
  

The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) was notified of 304 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Iowa, including 14 additional cases in Dubuque County.   

• Iowa now has a total of 14,955 positive cases and Dubuque County has 276. 
  
  
• 4 additional deaths were reported for Iowa, bringing the state total to 355. There were no additional deaths reported for Dubuque County so the county total remains 10. 
  
  
• As of May 17, 16 Dubuque County residents were hospitalized due to COVID-19 and 127 have recovered or are recovering.  Statewide, 387 Iowans are hospitalized and 7,324 Iowans have recovered. 
  
  
• 3,747 Dubuque County residents have been tested, resulting in a 7.4 percent positive rate.  Statewide, 103,148 Iowans have been tested for a 14.5 percent positive rate. 
  
  
• Of Iowa’s 99 counties, Dubuque County has the 7th highest number of people tested (3,747), the 14th highest number of positive cases (278), and the 10th highest number of deaths (10).
