Clogged Pipe Causes Sanitary Sewer Overflow

DUBUQUE, IOWA – A clogged sanitary sewer line on Admiral Street caused untreated wastewater to drain into the creek located between Admiral Street and the Northwest Arterial.   

The City of Dubuque Public Works Department was notified of the blockage on Saturday May 2, at 1:00 p.m. and had the blockage removed by 2:00 p.m. 

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources cautions people to keep their children and pets away from the noted area, which is posted, for 48 hours.
