Dubuque Police Investigate Shooting

On February 23rd, 2020 at 12:59 a.m., Dubuque Police responded to the Kwik Stop at 2335 University Ave for a report of a man who had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and identified the victim as Johnny Tyronne Webb Jr., (21) of Dubuque.
The investigation revealed that Webb had been shot in the neck while he was in the alley behind the gas station. Webb indicated he knew the shooter. Officers did locate evidence of a shooting in the alley and the scene was processed by investigators.
Webb was transported to Mercy Hospital and was later transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His injuries are not considered life threatening at this time.
