INCIDENT TYPE: kitchen fire with occupants trapped by smoke
ADDRESS/LOCATION:
247 West 11th Street

Reported fire in apartment building. On arrival fire crews found a kitchen fire on the first floor with several occupants trapped by smoke on upper floors. Fire was brought under control while rescues were made by ground ladders. Three occupants were transported to local hospital for smoke inhalation. 
 Red Cross has been requested to assist occupants.
Fire under investigation at this time.
