Public Input Sought on Proposal to Allow Pets in Majority of City Parks

The meeting is being held to allow residents to share feedback, comments, or concerns relating to the proposal with park and recreation commissioners.  Each resident will be allowed up to three minutes to share their comments.  The City of Dubuque Park and Recreation Commission, which serves in an advisory role to the City Council, is considering the ordinance proposal for recommendation to the City Council.  The City Council would have to approve any changes to the current ordinance.

For those who would like to provide feedback/comments but are unable to attend the meeting, the Parks and Recreation Commission is also accepting input via survey available online and in several locations throughout the community.  The survey can be found at www.cityofdubuque.org/petfriendlycommunity.  The survey will be available from January 2-17, 2020.  Paper copies of the survey are also available at the following locations:
