[ARCHIVED] YouTube Video Participant Arrested

U.S. Marshals arrested David Cashius Rhone, 23, of Dubuque, at his place of employment (in Dubuque) on April 7th, 2010.

Rhone was identified by authorities as the “lead singer” in a video recently posted on YouTube in which participants are seen at various locations throughout Dubuque, including City Hall, displaying what appear to be weapons, narcotics and currency.

Rhone’s arrest relates to violating his term of supervised release, with the original charges relating to the “Transfer of an Unregistered Sawed-Off Rifle” and “Possession of a Firearm by an Unlawful User of Controlled Substances”. In March of 2007, Rhone was sentenced to 37 months in Federal Prison on the above charges and served approximately 2/3rds of that sentence. He was then placed on the 3 years of supervised release referenced above.

Rhone is being held in the Linn County Jail pending a detention hearing on April 12th which will determine if he remains incarcerated prior to a revocation hearing scheduled for April 20th.

As with any criminal case, the charges filed are allegations and any suspect(s) charged are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
