Local Partners to Host the 2021 Tri-Basin Summer Clean-Up Series

The City of Dubuque, Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency, Green Iowa AmeriCorps, and the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium have partnered to host the 2021 Tri-Basin Summer Clean-Up Series.

The series is part of an ongoing effort to create healthier and safer watersheds, preserve our natural resources, and promote watershed stewardship. Three community clean-up events are scheduled as part of the series.

Bee Branch 16th St. Detention Basin Clean-Up
Saturday, June 12, 2021, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Volunteers should meet at the 16th St. Overlook at the Lower Bee Branch. The entrance to the parking lot is located along E. 16th St. under the HWY 151/61 overpass.

Port of Dubuque Ice Harbor Clean-Up
Saturday, July 10, 2021, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Volunteers should meet at the National Mississippi River Museum at the red paddlewheel.

Maus Park Clean-Up
Saturday, August 7, 2021, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Volunteers should meet at the Maus Park parking lot.

If possible, volunteers are asked to register for the clean-ups in advance at www.cityofdubuque.org/summercleanups. Supplies including gloves, bags, trash grabbers, and vests will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they have them.
