[ARCHIVED] American Red Cross Lifeguarding Classes held at the Dubuque Community Y

Are you interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard?


Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you'll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard.  Successful completion of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding class results in a 2-year certification in Lifeguarding.  Prerequisites:  Must be at least 15 years of age and pass certain swimming requirements.  Students must be present each day of training, no exceptions.  Fee is $160 for resident; $192 for non-resident.  


Session II classes will be held at the Dubuque Community Y on Saturday, March 17th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, March 18th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  (Session I classes were held at the Dubuque Community Y on Saturday, February 10th and Sunday, February 11th.)
