[ARCHIVED] Identity Released in Death Investigation

On April 9th, 2013, at 8:17 a.m., Dubuque Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 10th Street and Central Avenue on the report of an unresponsive adult male on the sidewalk.

On April 9th, 2013, at 8:17 a.m., Dubuque Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 10th Street and Central Avenue on the report of an unresponsive adult male on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, emergency personnel located the male and determined he was deceased. The decedent was identified as Mel J. Beadle, 02/08/49, of 1325 Cox Street, Dubuque.

The investigation, including the review of the parking ramp’s video security system footage, revealed no indications of foul play, however the incident does not appear to be accidental or the result of natural causes. An autopsy was performed by the State Medical Examiner and investigators are awaiting the official results.
