Neighborhood Recreation Programs

These programs have been developed as part of the City's multi-faceted neighborhood reinvestment strategy.  Development of this neighborhood-based recreation program is made possible through Community Development Block Grant Funds.  Programs are free to City residents within income guidelines. Income guidelines forms are printed in the activity brochures, and must be turned in to the Leisure Services office at time of registration.  Income guidelines change annually, and vary according to the number of persons in a household.  City residents who meet the guidelines according to the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) documents for Dubuque County qualify for free Neighborhood Recreation Programs.

Programs include;

    Preschool recreation and instruction at Comiskey Park building
    Open Gym program on weekends during the winter
    Recreation classes and activities during the summer months
