Towing and Impoundment

Vehicles with three unpaid parking fines older than 30 days from the date issued will be towed and impounded until all fines are paid in full. The ordinance also allows for impoundment of vehicles with five or more tickets older than seven days from the date of issuance. 

Towing Costs

Owners of towed vehicles are responsible for all towing costs, which vary but are approximately $50, and any storage fees due to the towing company, if applicable. Partial payments will not be accepted for unpaid fines once the vehicle is on the tow list.

Recovering a Towed Vehicle

Before the owner can recover a towed vehicle, all outstanding parking tickets for all registered vehicles under the owner's name must be paid plus an administrative fee.

The amount owed must be paid by cash or credit card, except at the Law Enforcement Center, where tickets/fees must be paid in cash.  After all of the charges are paid, you will be given a receipt to take to the towing company. You will also be responsible for paying the towing company for towing/storage costs.
