After School Sports

4th & 5th Grade Track

Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 31

Location: Selected School
Time: 90 minutes following school dismissal
Cost: $24 or free for income-qualified
Dates: April 11 - May 9, 2022

After School Sports 4th and 5th Grade Track is an intramural program that places an emphasis on learning track fundamentals, team concepts, sportsmanship, participation, improved health/fitness, and fun! The program will meet for 90 minutes following school dismissal. Practices will be held twice per week. The program will conclude with a city-wide track meet on Monday, May 9 at Senior High School at Dalzell Field.

Ways to Register

  1. Online Registration
    Online Registration is available 24 hours/day for most Recreation Division classes. We have teamed with the Active Network to provide this service using a valid credit card; a convenience fee will be charged.
  2. Mail-in
    You can mail your registration to Leisure Services, 1157 Central Ave., Dubuque, IA 52001
  3. Walk-in Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., 1157 Central Ave., Dubuque, IA 52001 
  4. After Hours Drop-off
    Place your form and payment in a sealed envelope and drop it in the mail slot in the office door.

Registration Form

Programs limited to a certain number of participants will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis with Dubuque residents are given preference. You should receive a confirmation receipt within two weeks. 


Payment must be included with any registration to be accepted.  Fees may be paid by credit card or checks payable to Leisure Services Department.  Credit Card payments may only be made online, in person, or by phone.

Financial Assistance

To assist low-income residents, the Leisure Services Department allows individuals or families to register for some Recreation Division programs/classes for free or at a reduced price. Appropriate identification and current benefit card must be available, or an income form will need to be completed. For more information please contact the Leisure Services Department at 563.589.4263.
