The Planning Services Department reports to the City Manager and concentrates on three major activities:
City Planning,
Development Services and
Historic Preservation.
Programs provided by the Planning Services Department include:
- Community planning
- Development site planning
and review
- Historic Preservation
- Land use regulation
- Zoning enforcement
Major collaborations underway include: sustainability, riverfront planning and development, comprehensive plan update and implementation, Historic Millwork District, Washington Neighborhood Revitalization and bicycle and pedestrian planning.
