City Seeks Input on Curbside Collection Operations

A study currently under way will review current curbside collection operations and evaluate potential options for automating the collection for trash, seek community input to develop a path towards Zero Waste, and evaluate financial models for funding.

The City of Dubuque is collaborating with Foth, a science and engineering consulting firm, to review the City’s curbside collection operations and start planning a path towards Zero Waste.  The study will review current curbside collection operations and evaluate potential options for automating the collection for trash (i.e. increase efficiency and safety of collections), seek community input to develop a path towards Zero Waste, and evaluate financial models for funding.

Residents are invited to share their thoughts on the curbside collection program and the path towards Zero Waste objective through an online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DVRVRVL
