Overview
AmeriCorps is a national service program that engages Americans of all ages and backgrounds to meet a critical need in the community.  Here is Dubuque, AmeriCorps members engage in intensive service around education.  AmeriCorps Partners in Learning has been in the Dubuque community since 2000 and has over 600 alumni.

AmeriCorps Partners in Learning is a part of the Dubuque's Campaign for Grade - Level Reading.  During the school year, AmeriCorps members serve as Academic Reading Tutors in the Dubuque Community School District's elementary schools.  Members are trained in specific reading interventions and strategies.

We also have one member serve as the Teen Coordinator for the Multicultural Family Center.

During the summer, AmeriCorps members serve with four different partner organizations to provide academic, social and academic enrichment programs.  Our partner organizations are St. Mark Youth Enrichment, Multicultural Family CenterLeisure Services Recreation, and the Carnegie-Stout Public Library.

The Partners in Learning AmeriCorps Program is sponsored by the City of Dubuque.
