Evening Service Survey

In March 2017, the Dubuque City Council approved The Jule’s proposal to extend evening service hours. These additional evening hours are funded in part through reduced Saturday fixed-route service.

The following changes are planned to start August 14, 2017:

Weekday service schedule from 6:00AM – 6:00PM will remain the same with two exceptions:

  • No service to Fremont Ave and Key West
  • NEW hourly service to University Ave, Brunskill Rd (near Best Western/Midway), Plaza 20, and Lakeridge Dr.
Summer weeknight service will provide reduced fixed-route and full Minibus service from 6:00PM – 9:00PM. Weeknight service during the college school year will provide reduced fixed-route and full Minibus service from 6:00PM – 9:00PM Monday through Thursday and will continue existing Nightrider service until 2:40AM on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday service will be reduced based on ridership history and will mirror the 6:00PM – 9:00PM weeknight reduced schedule during the summer and will operate until 2:40AM during the college school year.

Public Hearing Presentation
A public hearing was held on April 17, 2017 to review the proposed changes and approve associated service reductions. A video of this presentation is available here.
