Kevin Lynch, of 749 Brookview Square, was first elected to the Dubuque City Council in 2005. He was re-elected in November 2009 and again in November 2013. He is currently serving his third term and represents the city's First Ward.
Councilman Lynch graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) with an Associate's Degree in Business Computer Programming. He is President of Net-Smart, located in Dubuque, and is a company founder. He has held positions in the computer industry as a Network Administrator and as an I.T. Supervisor for both small businesses and for a Fortune 500 company.
He has served and been involved in numerous civic organizations such as past president of the West Side Business and Professional Association, past president of the Dubuque Rotary Club and past president of the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Board of Trustees.
Councilman Lynch is a former chairman of the board of directors of Finley Hospital, the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce; a board member of Greater Dubuque Development Corporation, Dubuque Initiatives, Dubuque Racing Association and a member of the Envision 2010 steering committee.
Councilman Lynch has three children: Brandon, Taylor, and Alison.
