Cone Flower Cluster

Bounnak Thammavong - Swisher, Iowa
2013 People's Choice Award Winner

Artist's Statement
The cone flower, growing in abundance across the prairie states, gets a stylized makeover with an abstract representation created in painted steel and stainless steel. The cones have integrated LED lighting powered by a solar panel so they will glow at night. The cluster is perfectly at home in a flower bed.
